Qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 2000 he initially worked in Leeds specialising corporate loan security valuation and industrial agency.

Following a return to Sheffield to join Fowler Sandford to fulfil a general practice role focusing on property management and professional services which include rent reviews, lease renewals and strategic commercial property advice. Latterly he has advised on land promotion of strategic development sites for housing and employment through the local plan process. Jeremy is also a Registered Valuer.

Following graduation from Sheffield Hallam University, James began practicing in 1999, initially providing property advice across the range of General Practice disciplines to clients involved in the motor trade and roadside industries throughout England and Wales.

The move to Fowler Sandford LLP saw James once more immersed in General Practice surveying providing property advice to both public and private sector clients, including housing associations, charities, major industrialists, and private householders. James is a Registered Valuer.

He is appointed as the Surveyor to Sheffield Church Burgesses Trust and is the Surveyor to Sheffield Cathedral, advising on property matters and he is also provides property management services to a diverse mix of clients including Alms Houses, private landlords and Court of Protection cases.

As a specialist in dealing with leasehold residential properties, James is regularly called upon to provide valuation and acquisition advice and has taken a number of cases to Tribunal on behalf of clients across the country.

Jeremy is a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer with over 35 years’ experience in the property sector much of it gained as a Partner with a major international property consultancy practice in South Yorkshire.

He has wide ranging experience in commercial property matters, with a focus on the South Yorkshire, North Notts and North Derbyshire regions. He has particular expertise in valuation, rent reviews and lease renewal matters as well as property acquisitions and disposals.
